When he first heard hersing live, he cried because it was so beautiful. Rene had so muchfaith in Celine, that he even mortgaged his theater to finance theproduction of Celines debut album. Her only obstacle for successbeyond Canada and France was her French lyrics.Record companies, as it turned out, were less enthusiastic of investingin a low-class preteen than Rene Angelil was. The financial supportthey invol ve to make Celine a success was not being produced, so theycreated a low budget Christmas album, Celine Chante Noel, (CelineSings Christmas), and another album, Voix du bon Dieu, (The Voice ofGod). Celine released these singles at the young age of 13, yet theyproved to be very successful.
